MINERAL WELLS - Duncanville pitching was able to hold Mineral Wells to just three hits and no walks Wednesday evening as the Deputies defeated the Steam 4-0 and snapped a five-game losing streak.

DUNCANVILLE - Texas Collegiate League All-Star Brent Harris (North Central Texas) went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, but the Duncanville Deputies could not generate much else offensively as they lost to Weatherford 3-1 on Subway Day Saturday evening at Panther Field.
Pitcher Jim McGonigle (University of New Orleans) has been selected as the Duncanville Deputies Player of the Week.
In his last two starts, McGonigle has pitched a combined 14 scoreless innings.
On July 4 at McKinney, McGonigle pitched seven innings while scattering four hits, striking out four and walking two batters.
Against Mineral Wells on July 11, he again went seven innings while giving up three hits, striking out seven and walking zero batters.
McGonigle leads Duncanville's starting pitchers with a 1.61 ERA and has struck out 18 batters in 22 1/3 innings of work.
